Zen meditation requires discipline and determination, but it is a rewarding practice. We do not strive to attain the goal of awakening - Buddhahod - we just sit and practice in accordance with the teacher's instructions. Anything beyond that is stumbling past it.
Having a group of fellow practitioners, a sangha, is a real boost. After you have practiced a number of weeks or months at the Zen Center, we hope you will decide to become a member. Just complete this Membership Application and mail or bring it to The Clear Water Zen Center, 2470 Nursery Road, Clearwater, FL 33___. We also have a Pledge form for those who wish to contribute to the building fund.
